Lane Merger Collision

Case Study

Case Overview

Our client was driving straight in the right lane when the defendant attempted to merge into the same lane from a Kroger exit. Despite our client's effort to slow down, there was not enough space to swerve and avoid the collision. The front right of our client's car collided with the front left of the defendant's car. Both parties pulled over, called the police, and filed a report. Our client did not receive any citations.

The police report clearly defined liability due to the location of the damage on both vehicles. The passenger-rear side of our client received damage, indicating that the defendant driver should've braked, and merged behind our client.
