2019 Winner: Kylla Lafleur
Hi, I’m Kylla Lafleur from Portland, Oregon and I go to Lincoln High School. I am planning on attending and playing softball for the University of Redlands. I will be majoring in Biology on my path to becoming an Orthodontist.
I am very passionate about philanthropy and learning about different cultures. I am the founder and leader of Doernbecher Children’s Hospital’s Kids Making Miracles club at my high school. As a group we are deeply concerned about the financial and emotional well being of families and critically ill children and we fundraise for medical, research and housing costs for the hospital. Additionally, I am a co-leader of the Arabic Honors Society, where we reach out and connect to people a part of Portland’s Arab community. Outside of school, I am a ski and tennis instructor and I love working with kids.
I am very excited to be the winner of the Good Law Scholarship! I was very interested in the scholarship topic and felt drawn to write on it. I really enjoyed writing my application and the scholarship will contribute towards my tuition.
